Didn't live up to past performances. Two nights ago my family ordered dinner from here to be picked up; 4 separate meals. After picking up our order and getting back home it was realized they had forgotten to include one of the orders. We called back to let them know and they said do you want us to cook the food for you. Well, uh... yes. We paid for it. So we had to make a whole other trip back to pick it up. At least, they gave us a $15 gift card for the trouble, but after getting back home a second time and now finally to eat our dinner as a family, the food was unfortunately, very poor. Our food was terribly overcooked. It seemed like we got the microwave leftovers from a day or two ago. We were very disappointed. Not the usual experience we have grown accustomed to. It wasn't like they were busy, though that should not be an excuse in a restaurant. Every dish should be made properly regardless of how busy or not it is; I mean, people are paying good money for good food, not crap. If we had this food served to us sitting down in the restaurant, it would definitely had gone back to the kitchen. Even the salad had wilted lettuce. I hope this bad experience is just an isolated incident, but it was bad enough to warrant this review to be written. It was like the chefs in the kitchen just didn't care what they were letting go from the kitchen.
BAD FOOD. Had dinner on Apr 28, 2010. The three of us had different entrees, except for the salad. We all shared the salad! By 2 am we were all sick as dogs. The Zuppa Toscana soup was rancid, old, like it had been around for a week. The pasta was sticky and over-cooked. It will be cold day in you know where before we eat at this place again!
Absolutely Disgusting!. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo and the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and they were both absolutely disgusting! The steak was tough, the pasta was over cooked in both meals, and there were 3 shrimps and maybe 4 scallops in the Seafood Alfredo. I was so disappointed, because I've never had such a horrible meal from their establishment. The only good thing happening was the friendly hostess, otherwise, eat at your own risk.
Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant..
In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
Italian. GREAT try it! Really good and the food was excellent. Bring the family.
Pizza Pizza. I am a pizza lover. I've had the chance to sample pizza from literally around the world, from the Far-East (believe it or not), to Europe, including Italy, and back in the USA. While at home here in the Tidewater area of Virginia I have searched high and low for the best taste in pizza and I have found on of the best kept secrets in pizza, the Olive Garden Resturant in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake, Va.
