Great!!. As a military family, we have eaten all over the world. This is our second stint here in Chesapeake and it's almost funny that one of the things we looked forward to was being able to get Andrea's Pizza again... Not just bread, sauce, and cheese here!! The owner is truly off-the-boat from Italy and you can tell by his cooking. Lots of flavor, great texture, friendly and you dont have to remortgage your home to pay for it!!

Gross. The place is just gross! The wait staff is dirty and rude. The establishment itself is disgusting and the owners are mean. We are never going back.

AS GOOD AS SICILY!!!. I have a friend who is a captain of a Maritime Vessel. He regularly goes into port in Italy. He eats at a restaurant in Sicily that has received the award for "The Best Pizza in Sicily" three years in a row. He has eaten at Andrea's and says it is JUST AS GOOD. I have never tasted better and during my doctoral studies I ate a lot of Chicago Pizza. Not only that, the folks who own the place love all of us who eat there. I never send anyone anywhere else for pizza!

Pizza or Boogers?. I was in for lunch a few days ago with a few of my lunch pals to get a pizza. The table was sticky and the floor had pieces of food on it but the pizza was ok. When we finished up and were waiting on our bill we noticed that the lady at the counter was picking her nose! That was bad enough, but when she began to make a salad (no hand washing, no gloves) I wanted to throw up. I am not going back. If these things are tolerated then I can only imagine what else touches the food.

This pizza snob gives Andrea's two thumbs up...WAY UP!. First, there are a couple of things you should know about me... I was a military spouse for 12 years and travelled around the world during that time. Our budget was always smaller when it came to our homes and autos so that we could eat out alot. I LOVE food. My family refers to me (lovingly, of course) as a "food snob". Food is one of my favorites subjects to talk about and I am very picky about several things: coffee, ice tea, chocolate, bread, cheese and pizza. When it comes to restaurants, I don't care at all about "ambiance". All that matters is that there is exceptional food and decent prices. Andrea's fits the bill to a tee!

I moved away from the Hampton Roads area over 4 years ago and the single thing that I miss the most is Andrea's pizza. I am salivated just thinking about it now (I kid you not). The crust is the perfect combination of a crispy substantial bottom with a tender, chewy outer rim. The taste of the crust is like fresh baked real Italian bread (not the kind from a grocery store but the kind from a kiosk in the train station in Rome). I could go on and on about the sauce but suffice it to say that I used to go in and buy large styrofoam containers of it and eat it with a spoon straight out of the refridgerator. I wish I had asked for the recipe before I left so I could try and replicate the pizza in my home in Wisconsin but it probably would not be the same.

When you go, be sure and order the garlic knots for an appetizer and try to save room for the canolli (good luck with that...you can also order the canolli to go). Tell the owners that Leanne sent you and that she would really like their crust and sauce recipe, okay?

Great food, atmosphere, and customer service!. I have been looking for some good Italian food in the area and I'm so happy I came across Andrea's! I ordered one of their calzones and it was AWESOME!!! The calzone was around 6.00 and it was huge. It was definitely more than I could eat. It's kind of a small place with comfortable booths and the service was great. I got my food super quick and the waitress was really friendly. I will definitely go back and try the other food. I highly recommend it!!!!

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Authentic Italian dishes are served including lasagna, pasta, pizza and seafood platters at the restaurant that offers fresh bread baked daily.

Good food. terrible booths.. The food was good but not for the price. The portions were pretty small. The seats in the booths feel like they are pews from a church. They are the most uncomfortable chairs i have ever sat in. you think they would spend some money and buy some cushions. Me and my husband do go there when I'm in the mood for Italian, but we dont expect big portions.

YUMMY. My family and I have been going to Andreas for years. The restaraunt is always clean and the service is great. The food is wonderful. I have been to Italy before and I think that the Italian dishes at Andreas are the best that I've ever had. Their pizza

s are fresh and are better than any other pizza around. Also, if you cannot make it into the restaraunt, they deliver. What could get much better than to have some great Italian food delivered to your house or work????? I highly suggest this restaraunt.
