The Best in Va. Beach. Was in Va. beach Labor day weekend. Went to Mary's after researching it on the web. So good we went to eat there for breakfast all 3 days we were there. One thing though, if you go and want sausage for breakfast get the links and not the patties. Still, best breakfast in Va. beach by far and will always go whenever I'm in town.

Excellent value for an excellent breakfast. Loved the breakfast there. The wait staff is nice and fairly prompt. The food was simply delicious. The servings were generous, but not "out of this world" large. Home fries were tasty and not greasy as they are in some places. I had an omelet with "the works", which I liked a lot. Unfortunately, by the time we got there around 11:30 am they ran out of the biscuits, but this did not spoil a very pleasant experience. A large breakfast for two with tea and coffee we paid about $17 after a 10% off coupon found in many of the area coupon books.

Bottom line: very highly recommended.

Mary's is..... to many, God's little thank you to those of us lucky enough to have found it.. Is it the best? Yes. There is no question that after 10 years plus of eating there...I have nevere been unhappy. The waitstaff has a special place in my heart....(ask the poor girl who threatened one of 'the girls'....SHE made a mistake:) The food is always delicious...cakes and pies are homemade by Lelia...the VERY efficient manager of 5? years. She also has a smile that would knock your socks off, even on the worst of days. (And I should know, if I'm having a bad day...I'll make a bee-line over there, providing it's before 3pm. 'Cus as everyone who KNOWS knows....they're open from 6am to 3pm.

Thanks ya'll...I really do love 'the Mary's'...Leli and those great gals...RENA, we miss you:), Alice and her 'blistas' and of course...DESSERT! And know THIS...if I invite you to eat at Mary's with me...your eating with my family. Love you guys...beth:)

Follow The Crowd. I went to Mary's for a quick breakfast and was surprised to find apprx. 20 people waiting for a table. This proved to be NO PROBLEM. A covered waiting area provides free coffee, the wait staff is prompt inside, and the flow of customers is impressive. Once inside the breakfast was as fine as one can make sausage and pancakes. One plate was only a couple of minutes late in our party of six and the waiter offered complimentary dessert. What a nice surprise. The experience was nice and in the end it was nice to be part of the "crowd"!
