ODD Review. Have been going to the Cactus for over 10 years and have NEVER had a problem. Other than a few long bathroom lines, that they have tried to remedy- it has always been a great time. Security is quick to remove any issues and are polite enough. Drinks are strong and very reasonable, cheaper than most other HR bars. I guess everyone can have a bad experience but 10 years and running- I can say this is one of the most consistant and fun clubs in HR.

never again!!!. never again, when i approached the guy outside, i showed him my i.d, i walked in, found a table where you pay 5 dollars, no problem! but i had a woman that worked there grabbed me and told me to pay, the guy at the front told her i did, no big deal! after ordering a drink, the bar tender told me that if i didnt want to order another one to move it! no big deal! my friend ordered a drink, the bartender told him the same thing, no big deal!! went to order a shot, the same bartender told me to order from someone else, no big deal! some over weight female security shoved me to get to someone else and my drink went all over, after that, i had enough, im my way out, i forgot my credit card, so i asked if i could come back in to close my tab, the same lady told me to get in line, so i did,when i got to the door she told me to wait, the whole time she was sooooo rude! i finally got it, on my way out i said goodnight and i was told shut the f..... up smart ass! can you believe it! im not even gay, its a gay night club, and on top of that, im a trained fighter, it took alot for me to hold in my anger,never again!!! because im not gay, and if i were! never!!!!!!!!! wow!! what a negative place!!

D List gay Bar in HR. There are MUCH better establishments!!. I have or WAS a loyal customer for 5 years now. The transfer of ownership has led to drink prices increasing, that's assuming you get a drink because the lines are LONG as f*ck. You get your hand stamped for no reason, if you leave you have to wait in line again (but atleast you don't have to pay the cover again, which is steadily going up over the few years I've been here). The security is AVERY aggressive and EXTREMELY rude, not only have I seen it but experienced it first hand. I leaned up against a pool table kinda leaning/sitting on it and a security guard who I had never seen before came up and grabbed my arm in a COMPLETELY unacceptable way. I pat on the shoulder I can understand but there is NO reason to get physical. My boyfriend and I were already on our way out so when he told us to leave after i snatched my arm back and told him not to touch me like that. Then at the door I turned to say something to my boyfriend and the midget security guard that grabbed me flipped out and threw me out while the guy at the door held my boyfriend from coming outside. Meanwhile the napoleon complex guard had me chicken winged against the wall for NO REASON other than me laughing at him because the whole situation was thrown WAY outta hand by him. So if that's how they treat their loyal customers I figure I won't go back there again, good thing there are other places like The Ambush, The Wave, In-Between, Garage....OTHER PLACES that are MUCH better at keeping their customers. I was the only one of my friends that actually liked going there, well now they lost a lot of customers because of their staff. And you will not find me or my boyfriend or any of our friends at that crappy bar again!
