BEST SUSHI JOINT IN THE ENTIRE TIDEWATER AREA!!!. As a sushi lover/expert with experience in the USA and Japan I can honestly tell you that Nara Sushi Restaurant is 'THE BEST!' I have compared them with most of the others in the area and they are far and away over the top in every category from all the menu items, menu variety, atmosphere, customer service and quality assurance! They go above and beyond when it comes to the quality and presentation of their menu items as well as their 'OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!' You are treated like a VIP from the time you enter the joint to the time you leave! You might need reservations depending on the day/occasion and they will accommodate for larger groups, but recommend calling ahead. Try it, you will definitely love it!!! :o)

Super Delicious & Reasonable. This was such great sushi. The quality of each roll was really put together, and the service was good as well. The fish was super fresh and the waitresses knew different rolls that you might like. They even make rolls that you create yourself! I have been to many sushi places and this one has been one of the best. The prices are very good for the amount of food you get---absolutely amazing place to eat. (they have limited space so big parties probably wouldn't be very comfortable)

Best makizushi and fotomaki in town!. This is probably the most amazing sushi restaurant in the area. The itamae are incredible! For your non sushi eating friends, the food from the kitchen is amazing. Order the tempura dinner, it's an artscape on a plate. If you are new to sushi, the maki in which they specialize, is absolutely amazing. If you are after nigiri or sashimi there is not a lot on the menu, however, if you ask the itamae they can usually provide. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, think european bistro meets sushi bar. I have never put a bad, non fresh, or not wonderful morsel in my mouth in this place! GO!
