good for hair not for feet. The staff is courteous and friendly. That is good. The haircut was good. That was great. The pedicure was lacking. It was soak, clip, polish and be gone. No relaxing massage for my feet or legs. The massage is the reason I go for a pedicure. I can do my own polish. For $35 you would expect a first class pedicure. It was not that and that is too bad.

Skilled stylists but overpriced and unprofessional. I believe that you get what you pay for so when a friend recomended Dupres to me I made an appointment right away.

My appointment was for a simple cut. Although I was booked at 5:00 I wasn't brought in until 5:45. This would have been fine but I needed to pick up my daughter at day care by 6:00 or I get charged extra. Luckily I was able to make arrangements with my oldest daughter to pick her up. I didn't want to leave and risk them charging my card for a missed appointment if I could help it.

The stylist was friendly enough, and I completely expect most salons to be a bit gossipy, but my chair was near a back room where stylists were talking. They left the door open and I distinctly heard them refer to a client as a b*tch, as well as use the f word several times and the c word. This was the place I had considered bringing my oldest for her prom, but after listening to that, I will try elsewhere for my cuts and colors.

I left a message for management to call me but didn't go into detail. It has been a week with no call back so I'm just letting it go and on the look out for stylists who can manage to watch their mouth during work hours.

Wonderful cut & color and microderm/facials!. Short Version: Wonderful services! I've had quite a few microderms as well as my cut & color. No complaints at all!

Details:

I moved to the area and wanted to get microderm. They are one of the few places that offers it. Helena does a great job at assessing your skin's needs and the microderm also includes a wonderful facial & upper shoulder massage which always makes me fall asIeep! I buy packages of 3 at a discount and have been quite a few times. My skin looks healthier than ever and I don't have to wear foundation to even it out anymore!

After seeing Helena a couple of times I inquired about a cut and possibly color. Right away they had me sit down with Rachel for a consultation and she understood exactly what I was looking for. I had my natural color and didn't want drastic, unnatural highlights. The next day I had an appointment with her and she gave me the BEST highlights and cut ever! Absolutely perfect! I'm very critical when it comes to my hair, the last cut I had nearly put me in tears. Not only did she do a fantastic job, she also showed me a few techniques when styling it that have made a huge difference.

Don't listen to the negative reviews, I've never had a bad experience with this place!

Amazing Colorist and Stylist. I went to Carrie for four years for my coloring and styling. She is amazingly talented. I never once left with something I did not like! I am sad that I had to move out of the area and can no longer go to her. I also received a few manicures and pedicures and eyebrow waxing from the spa as well and was always very pleased. I highly recommend this salon and spa!

The Worst Experience Ever!!!!!!. The staff at Dupre's is very talented, but like another reviewer stated- great talent does not compensate for poor customer service.

I was only in for highlights and a style, and it took them 5hrs. before I left the salon! Not only was my four year year old daughter with me, but also a friend! It was terrible! Not only was the service overpriced, but there was also little consideration taken for my feelings of extreme frustration.

Although I love my color and cut, I will definitely not be going back!!!!

The best hidden secret in Virginia Beach. I have been to Dupre's a few times. The staff is very warm and welcoming. I have had nothing but the best expierences. I have had my hair cut and colored in the salon with no problems. They even fixed problems from my old hairstylist. Sumi is the best for anything facial. She has done a beautiful job on getting my skin correct for my upcoming wedding. I would highly recommend Sumi for any spa service. She did a wonderful job with my microdermabrasion and purity peel. She even recommended a facewash to help with my acne prone skin. (which has worked wonderfully) With people like Sumi and the front desk staff, I will continue to go to this hidden gem at the beach.

Terrible Color!!. I was new to the area and my sister-in-law reccommended this salon to me. I went for highlights and a haircut. The color was terrible. Instead of using foils, they painted the color on my hair (with an actual paintbrush). I was told that this was the newest and best technique for color. It looked terrible. I had big stripes of color all over my head and the color was a terrible orange color. It was completely unnatural. It looked ridiculous. And the price was extremely high (even for the area). This place is overpriced for no reason. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. Go somewhere else!

BEST STYLIST EVER- Beautiful Salon. I tried the a new stylist last week and couldn't be more pleased. I have very difficult hair and no one has ever been able to figure out the best cut for me. I tried Dupre's Salon b/c I heard from a coworker that they were good. I guess my timing was right b/c I got to try a stylist that had only been working there for 3 days. His name is Matt and he has been doing hair for years in Richmond. Finally, some one that actually gets my hair problems. For the past week my hair has done exactly what it should and I love having good hair days everyday. I totally rec. this stylist to anyone with trouble hair. It is nice to be able to trust someone with real experience and knowledge. A true professional.

Super friendly!. Super friendly people work there! I had a stupid hard day and had to get my color done and was not in the mood for anything. To be honest, I almost cancelled b/c I just wanted to go home. But, from the minute I walked in the door I was greeted BY NAME (I have been there a few times prior) and offered a drink, which I gladly accepted. Nothing wrong with a glass of wine. My stylist was Michele and she was super nice. It is refreshing to go somewhere nice and chill and walk out happy. And my hair looks hot. Thanks!
