This man is not only rude and obnoxious but extremely unfriendly. His arrogance and know it all features make him annoying and you cannot question his experience or abilities to do hair. He's not there to satisfy the customer he is there to satisfy himself financially and his ego. I think if he was a true business man and christian he would know customer service is the key and he knows NONE of it. He is the biggest turn OFF that i've ever known as far as a beautician. When you first step in his salon you would think you were in a great christian enviroment as he brags about all his holyness and also as him being not only a beautician but some scientist . No man of God would kick a 63 year old woman out of his salon after washing it and conditioning her hair , because he got MAD after she questioned the color he mixed. Asking a simple question must be unacceptable for jerry. He needs to work on his STINKIN' yes i said stinkin attitude and GET OVER HIMSELF. I dont advise anyone to visit or make appointments to his salon . Entering this salon may turn your day into turmoil.
Highly Recommended!. One of the Best 100 Salons in the US says Essence Magazine, Readers Poll!!!
Rip off. I had my hair done tonight by Mr. Jerry. My hair looks ok but he charged me $160 for a wrap. WTH! He quoted me $69 over the phone. I assumed I would pay $95 because I got a cut. $160. I would not refer him. If you use him pay with cash so that you can refuse the unforeseen charges that he do without asking. Uuuuuuuggggghhhh I am pissed!
Shear Elegance by Jerry. Jerry, the owner and stylist is a rip off. He charged me 78.00 for a shampoo. He spends too much time on your hair because he really doesnt know what he is doing. He has a nasty attitude and the only time he is friendly is when he is giving you one of his outrageous bills. I observed that he only has about three customers per day and he is only open four days a week. He plays gospel music but he really should talk with God about how he is handling his business.
I'm Hesitant. I called at 0900 on a Saturday morning, this time of day I would expect a salon to be most active, to get the basic's for my particular needs. There was an answer machine. Granted there is a website but websites do what they are intended to do, give board information. I was hoping to get service on that particular day. The owner who identified himself such returned my call at 5:30pm and was borderline confrontational. I asked specifics and he would continuously ask me "do you have a computer? have you been to my website?" When I wasn't sure of the directions to his salon he asked "do you know where the liquor store is?" Personally I don't agree to a $50.00 consultation fee. Why would a fee be necessary if he quote, "tell me what you want before you come and I'll do it". I don't think so.
Not as website suggests.
The stylist, who is also the owner, is very shady. He will give you one price over the phone but will charge you a TOTALLY different price after your service. For example...I wanted a cut, I asked the price and was quoted starting at 20.00. I actually paid 90.00!!!. He charged me 50.00 for a SHAMPOO, 25.00 for a cut and 15.00 for maintence. He is a perfect example of someone who wants to make a quick buck. Please beware!!!
BTW...The cut was a simple layer and he barely cut off an inch. Rip off
