The FRESHEST sushi anywhere!. Sai Gai ROCKS! I've tried about 6-7 other sushi restaurants in Norfolk, VB, and Chesapeake over the past 4 years and I continue to find that Sai Gai has the most consistently fresh, delicious fish around! I'm there about twice a month and take my three year old daughter. The owners know us by name and welcome us enthusiastically every time we go in. The atmosphere is very low-key and casual, but you could easily go for a nice date or family outing. The fish is buttery and super fresh every single time! The portions are worthy and the rolls...tiger roll, bon roll, fuji mountain, dancing eel are superb! Never a crowd, consistently good, reasonably priced...you're missing out if you haven't tried it!

Sai Gai Japanese Steak & Sushi House. The restaurant is amazing ! The Habachi dishes are cooked to perfection by an exceptionally talented and extremely funny chef ; ) Everyone enjoyed the experience and I could not have chose a better place to enjoy my birthday. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is the best restaurant I have been to in Norfolk and VA Beach during my holidays here and would be delighted to return again.

Happy Eating !

The Best Sushi In the Tidewater area!!. I've been to Sai Gai several times with my boy friend and the food is just delicious. I tried Sushi at other restuarants and they cant comapre nor do they even beat Sai Gai. The Staff is very freindly, I go to Sai Gai so much that I'm now one of the regulars. The wine is amazing, The prices are FANTASTIC!!! The service is OUTSTANDING!! The booths are really cozy and romantic and the best part about it is there is something for the entire family... The entire resturant is NON- SMOKING which is wonderful. I just love Sai Gai the food is excellent and i will continue to visit because they keep their customers very very satisfied!!!!!!

More than dinner! It's an experience!. Sai Gai has the best sushi around and their hibachi grill is awesome! We always bring our out-of-town guests here to eat because it is so fun and delicious. Entertaining for both kids and adults.

Sai Gai boasts Norfolk's best sushi. Once you've tried Sai Gai's sushi bar, you'll agree they're the best. You'll find interesting, unique, and absolutely delicious sushi creations here, like nowhere else. Try the Tornado roll, or the Virginia roll, among others. All of their 'specail' sushi rolls are quite unique and delicious. We've tried other area sushi bars, and yet we keep coming back to Sai Gai. And if you like Japanese tepanyaki, the grill at Sai Gai can't be beat. The prices are premium, but well worth the extra cost. You won't be disappointed.

awesome traditional Japanese experience. I love going to Sai Gai. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. They take the time to notice regular customers. When it's been a couple months since my last visit, they always notice and make me feel as if they missed me there. The service and quality is what you would expect to find in a much more expensive restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant and usually a quiet place. It can easily accomodate groups of up to 8 or 10 people. Overall, it is an awesome little restaurant and most definitely my favorite Sushi Bar.
