The best tortilla soup in the area!. This restaurant offers the best tortilla soup in Hampton Roads. It has the right blend of seasoning although it is quite expensive at 4 bucks a bowl. Service is usually quick, food is delicious, but the best part of my visit to max and ermas is the dessert. You have a few items to choose from, but I highly recommend the choclate chip cookies (served straight from the oven) and the chocolate cake (a pound of thick chocolate cake drizzled with chocolate sauce). One of the best restaurants in the area.

Best restaurant in town. Max and Erma's offers a nice romantic atmosphere and a great staff that will do their best to make sure that your needs are met. We've had parties as few as the two of us and as many as twelve and they have gladly accomodated us every time. Their food is great and is fairly priced.
