Great burgers but skip the 'cue.. I will agree with the other reviewers that the burgers and dogs are outstanding...I'm always pleased with the quality, although the fries are sometimes a bit on the soggy side. However, the pulled pork barbecue sandwich should be avoided. It tastes like it came out of a can--it is impossible to overemphasize the blandness of it. So if you're looking for barbecue, this place is far from your best bet.

Burger Wars Continue. The Dog n Burger has perhaps the perfect classic grease-pit burger, as well as one heck of a hot dog. The meat is delightfully fatty and, if you want, covered in cheese and/or mayonnaise. Ordered with fries, the grease will almost completely soak through the bag, and I don't say that as a bad thing. It's not Kelly's (they have the original giant burger, and innovative to boot) or the Red Dog (killer backyard-style stuff with cheap beer), but the Dog n Burger has it down pat for the classic cheeseburger experience. One shouldn't indulge in it too often--though I have to admit that I probably do, and certainly have paid the price for it--but it's worth it. Skip the diet soda, forget the small fries, and go ahead and get the double. I'm the guy ordering the double cheeseburger, fries, and large root beer at the DnB. Have some with me the next time you're out 20th and Manteo.

Best Chicken Soup. I use to work right beside Dog N Burger over 10 years ago. I remember they had the most wonderful and flavorful chicken soup. Their burgers were great too. I highly recommend the chicken soup if they still serve it.

Quick and great~!. This little rest. is a great stop for anybody. You can be in a hurry or just out on a lazy day. nestled in the quiet part of Norfolk called Ghent it offers the best of service value and old town fun. All in all the best little joint in town.

This burger grill is your basic, no-nonsense refueling station, but it's the best in its class.. The Scene
There's a place on the corner of 20th and Manteo streets that looks like a collision between a New Jersey diner and an open-air picnic shelter. That's the busy Dog-n-Burger Grille. Pick up your food at the counter and eat it where you want; stools and round tables are inside, picnic benches outside.

The Food
Locals stop by for overloaded hamburgers (chili, sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup--you name it), barbecue sandwiches, Italian sausage subs and Mam's chicken soup. The soup gets raves even if it's not a cure for the cold, and the rest of the menu satisfies the munchies.
