Matzo Ball Soup!. A real kosher deli, here in Ghent! When you're craving Matzo ball soup and a mile-high pastrami sandwich, there's no other place than the Kosher Place. A bit unassuming, this cozy deli counter is well worth the trip. And certainly reasonably priced. If you're looking for a good kosher deli, this is the place. Be sure to check out the attached grocery for unique kosher delicacies to take home. Even goyim (non-Jews) like us will be back!

x'cellent place. I ate here march 22 2006. Very friendly owner, he has had this place since 1997.

Very fresh food. Meats and sandwiches fantastic. They have a sit in place. They also have a Kosher Grocery next to it , where you can found almost everything what you find in Kosher stores in Brooklyn NY. I even found here Green's Cake from Brooklyn.

Very good Kosher Supervision and HECHSHER.

The store was even set up ready with Kosher for Passover stuff :)

In Norfolk there is only one eatery that conforms to strict kosher dietary laws mandating the separation of dairy and meat:The Kosher Place Cafe.. The Scene:
A meat restaurant with an adjoining kosher grocery store, The Kosher Place Cafe serves gourmet prime rib, chicken cacciatore, and grilled veal chops along with salad, vegetables, and challah bread. Not surprisingly, the restaurant attracts a health-conscious clientele of all persuasions as the laws of kashrut demand that animals be raised on a restricted organic diet and slaughtered in the most humane manner possible. Be sure to enjoy a creamless cup of coffee after the meal.
