The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

backyard burgers. Hardee's $6 burger is a great value. However, depending on where you go the wait varies. The busier the restaraunt less of a wait. The slower Hardee's stores seem to have difficulty putting the burger in its packaging. The presentation of the $6 burger does not do much for anticipation of possible enjoyment. This does not affect the taste but getting a grip on it and not getting any on your clothing is more difficult... especially if they don't give you a napkin or just one.
