the best. when i lived in ohio, once a year i would come to virginia beach, the first thing off the plane i would be at luna mya, now that i live down here, once a week i am there. its small, so if you are not there at 530 you will have to wait, very busy so there is a small wait on your food, BUT BUT BUT so worth it. not a place for small childern.

just ok. I didn't think much of the food and the service was worse. I won't go back. There is free parking.

Great Food and a Great Value. One of my favorite restaurants in Norfolk. Great, casual atmosphere; good service and wonderful food. Great date location.

The Best Mexican/Latin in Hampton Roads. After going to this place for years I finally get around to putting in my review. The food is all around excellent, we like trying different things and have had most things on the menu (we like going w/ freinds to try different things every time). Here are our top five.

Steak a lo Macho Burrito Colorado Beef Tamales Habanero Shrimp Mango Mojitos

The Margaritas are also great as it is the only place that uses fresh lime juice and not some radioactive green commercial mix. The only downside is that when they are really busy service suffers a little, but then again this is a casual place and not high end so you can't expect high end service. Very fun amabiance, good music and lighting, great for a night out on the town like before going to a concert at the Norva.

Disappointed. We love Mojitos - drank our first ones in Puerto Rico....you can't get more "original" than that. Ordered Classic Mojitos at Luna and got a drink that I think had rum in it...but it also had the sour mix that goes into Margaritas! Mojitos are basic...mint, simple syrup, lime, rum and seltzer....how can you screw that up??? Couldn't taste the rum.....all I could taste was the sour mix. There were only 2 mint leaves - real Mojito has about 6. Also, one slice of lime...the essence of a real Mojito is the crushing of the lime, sugar and mint.

Ordered appetizers and salad - appetizers were scimpy and the salad I could have ordered at Applebee's. Very tasty Pico de Gallo but only gave you a tablespoon for the whole plate.

The waitress we had was sorta flaky. The color of the room was the best thing about the place.

Simply the best. After 7 years of going to this place, the food is alwaysfresh and delicious. Very authentic flavors and some you have probably never tasted. Their drinks are also excellent, fresh lime margaritas and other drinks made with real fruit juices. Excellent mojitos too. Their guacamole is a must.

A single visit to this gourmet Mexican restaurant is enough to make most customers loyal and frequent patrons.. The Scene

Two Bolivian sisters run this small colorful gourmet eatery, where the decor is upscale but casual. Everything is made from scratch, including the margaritas and sangria mixed up behind the multicolored, mosaic-tiled bar. There's no folk art or mariachi bands--it's all about the food, made only with the freshest ingredients.

The Food

Spectacular touches enhance each item on the menu. The made-to-order guacamole is a chunky mix of creamy avocados, cilantro, onions, peppers and tomato served in a hollowed-out avocado shell. A hint of cinnamon permeates the delicious tamales that come piping hot inside their corn-husk wrappers. The carne asada, nestled inside a chile tortilla, packs a flavorful punch with its perfectly seasoned meat. End with a slice of pure decadence and order the flourless Callebaut chocolate cake.
