Nothing fancy about this joint, but that's the point. It's just a fun and friendly place to hang.. The Scene
this small bar is popular and convenient, located just across the street from Old Dominion University. The walls are mostly bare, except for drink-drank-drunk photo collages and eight TVs tuned to various games. T-shirts, blue jeans and ball caps (forward and backward) are the norm, possibly the rule. There's one foosball, which means sharing (remember those manners learned in kindergarten). Video golfers can enjoy the sport from the comfort of a barstool.

The Booze
Charlie's is acclaimed by the local college crowd for its fried food and cheap beer. Beer specials make any night popular, and the mixed drink of choice generally depends on the night. On Saturday nights, vodka drinks cost less than a laundry load.

wacky wimmer wednesday. I love redbull / vodka on wednesday. The bartenders rule. and the chicks are almost as hot as california girls.
