Tidewater's hottest nightclub packs them in by the thousands.. The Scene
An outdoor mural of surfboards, palm trees and sand sculptures suggests Virginia Beach's one true dance club is a sleepy little gathering place for beachcombers. But from 11pm to 2am, this disco proves otherwise as hundreds upon hundreds of patrons line up at one of two bars (where martinis rule) or pack the huge dance floor to bursting. The decor favors black: black dance stage, black diamond wall art and even black napkins. Two jail-style cages just off the main arena feature the eclectic house dancers.

The Draw
Leave the corner pub and the jukebox behind, because the Beach House puts extroversion in the spotlight--literally and figuratively. Red, yellow and white strobe lights pinpoint the hired grinders, so be forewarned: The rule here is "Shy? Need not apply." For crowd relief, the VIP room features red velvet couches and a working fireplace for the money elite and other insiders.
