YIKES!!. i dont really even need to post this on here after all of the other horrible reviews on here but after my last experience there i need to share this with anyone considering going to this place!!! we waited for 20 mins with no service, finally my wife went and found a server to take our order! we placed our order with a bottle of wine and then had to remind the server that we placed a wine order and we wanted it before dinner!!! she acted like we were putting her out!! food took a little while and when it came some was cold, steak was over cooked, and shrimp tasted almost rotten!!! i complained to the owner and she didnt care, she was in the middle of her own dinner at the bar and didnt have time for me. since eating there i talked about my bad experience and came across a current kitchen employee who said HE wont even eat the because of how grimey the kitchen is and if anyone could see back there they would go out of business because of how dirty it is! he said they clean hardcore right before the health board shows up and thats how they stay in business!! WOW! this place gives all mom and pop restaurants a bad name! no thanks, never again!!!

Amazing. I have read some of the other reviews and I don't understand why. My family and I had a wonderful experience, matter of fact the owner was our server and she was very likeable and sweet. My son never had fried oysters before and she had the cook make a couple to try for free. The portions were very large and I opted for a petite fillet and added grilled scallops, my husband had shrimp creole, and my son of course went for the fried oysters, everything was amazing. We also used a coupon, which had a few rules so I asked her about it and she generously explained how to use it within those guidelines. We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back! NEVER EAT HERE!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE OWNER. I ate at tanners creek and had a terrible experience!! First the service was terrible. The server and owner were very rude. They would not take the Restraunt (dot)com gift certificate that I had with me. They then added $10 extra to my bill for tip after I had signed the slip. I paid 18% in gratuaty, and they still wrote in $10 that I did not approve. AVOID THIS PLACE!! They are theifs, and the food was not good. It is the worst restraunt in Norfolk.
