36.854658 -76.182231Stealing from our young Military Members. Aristocrat Towing should be ashamed of the way they treat people in their community, especially our Military Men and Women. At around midnight on March 20, 2010, they towed my son's car from a McDonalds parking lot on 21st Street in Virginia Beach. My son was on the property, around the building from where it was towed, and did not realize it had been towed, until he went to leave. ( about 10 to 15 mins after he arrived). The Aristocrat sign in the parking lot says the towing charges are $125.00, but when he went to pick it up, they charged him $175.00 plus $20.00 in storage for the 15 or twenty minutes they had the car. Good business ethics. I'll bet you have a real good name in your community. I can tell you I will spread the word to the Military installations in your area, and the other Tow companies about your business practices. I owned a Towing Company in Colorado Springs, Colorado for several years, and cannot believe the way you treat the Military.
IS PREDATORY TOWING ILLEGAL?. I bought a vehicle at an auction on Sunday, March 7, 2010. It was towed from the auction to a car repair shop. On Monday, March 8, 2010, I went to the DMV and got it titled and registered. This morning (Tuesday), I took the temporary plates to the repair shop only to learn that Aristocrat Towing had towed the vehicle last night from parking space the repair shop rents as part of its lease. The stated reason for the tow was "no plates." I had to pay $125 (the fee they charge for all their tows regardless of miles or reason) to have the vehicle released and incurred another fee to have it towed back to the repair shop. There were only three or four cars in the impound yard that looked driveable and it wasn't staffed by anyone. You had to call the number on the sign and wait an hour for a guy to show up and take your money. They have a sign in the trailer office that prohibits "whining." Since I couldn't whine there, I'm complaining here. Maybe it's just bad karma coming my way for buying a car at a tow yard auction. :)
Very Nice People. Every time I call this company the lady who answers is very nice and polite and always goes out of her way to help me. I'm watching a car for a friend this week and I've been having problems getting a parking pass from my land lord (sweet guy but he procrastinates) and they have been very understanding and accommodating to me.
Work hard at a thankless job. I have worked with Aristocrat, not as an employee, for many years. They work hard and bend over backwards to make sure all tows are legal. Have found that most people who complain are the ones that were legally towed and know it. Like most of society today, it is "someone elses fault". The drivers and staff deal with a lot of violent and hostile people who are "wrong" but think they should be the expection to the rules.
Horrible Tow Company.
They claim to look for the pass in your car, then when it is on your seat - because it isnt on your dash - they tow your car. EVEN WITH THE PASS IN IT. And if you go to thier office to object to their tow and say you aint paying for them to tow your car - they tell you to " get off the property - you are trespassing. Stay and i will call the police "
They are the worst at backstabbing hardworking people and dont mind screwing people over. I understand if you screw up - but screwing someone to just make money is wrong. Legally in this matter and Immorally.
