love it. ok the restaurant can be cold, so bring a jacket! but the food is good, staff is friendly and if you drink you gotta try the BLUE WAVE MARTINI!!! it's not on the menu anymore, but ask for it and you shall receive!!! yummy!! trust me i get it everytime i go!!!
Total BS. This is the biggest rip off in Virginia Beach. The fire alarm started going off 5 minutes after we got our drinks. We had not even gotten food yet. When we asked the manager about this we were told it was no big deal it happens all the time and would be turn off in 20 to 30 minutes. I don't know about you but I don't want to listen to that during lunch. We told them we were leaving and they asked us to pay for our drinks which we did not finish and pay for the food they had already started making. We did and left when contacted the main office they basically said sorry and blew me off. Will never eat here again and will not get the frozen pizzas from the store either hope to see them move out and a good place move in.
Watch your pie bake in a wood-fired oven at this national chain with global culinary influences..
In Short
Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. Pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches round out the menu.
NEVER AGAIN. This place is the biggest rip off I've ever experienced. My wife and I went over the weekend, she ordered a tuna salad, and I had the sicilian pizza. Her salad, while generous in portion, was only mediocre, and the tuna was overcooked. My pizza was terrible, I could get much better pizza at Zio's in Norfolk for half the price. The biggest kick in the junk was when we got the bill, my wife's salad was $17!!! I've never in my life paid that much for a salad, and if I ever do, I will make sure it's at a restaurant who's name is not on the mall directory. The bottom line is that you can get much better food at a MUCH better value at just about any of the local establishments in the area. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless they like getting ripped off and so-so food. Oh, and the wait staff was miserable. If I had the money, I would rent a billboard on 264, and put this review on it warning people off.
bad customer service,pizza horrible,.
California Pizza Kitchen has got to be the worst pizza I have ever had.
The dough flavor and its texture was not pleasant to the palate at all. I had an Italian,Tomato & Basil pizza(the basic one) and i barely had 2 slices just because i was thinking about the money i was going to pay for it anyway.
Our waiter was not attentive towards us and he had a little bit of an ***hole attitude. The price we paid for 3 pizzas and a few drinks was definetely too high and not worth it .I've been to so many pizza places in Hampton Roads and this is NOT one i would recommend if you want to taste a great pizza.
good pizza. California Pizza Kitchen has great choices of pizza. You need to keep coming back to try all the pizzas! Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.
