There was a male massage therapist that was absolutely horrible. Paid for a hour massage and he only massaged me for 45 minutes. The place is beautiful but not worth the hassle. This was sometime ago, I hope he doesnt work there any more.

Absolutely Unprofessional

I was totally put off by Sumatra's lack of professionalism. I went there with my husband and the stylist was being inappropriate the entire time. She was saying to him all her detailed problems with her boyfriend and asking his advice, that she was going to ask if he wanted to go to a party if he wasn't married, asking him if guys in his profession CHEAT on their wives, if he has any cute friends and lastly telling him that she'll have to tell some other stylists that he's married because they'll be disappointed. Though this stylist may have been just being herself, it was totally uncalled for to be so disrespectful and unprofessional, especially knowing I was in the vicinity also and we were paying for a service.

We will not go there again.

Impress

It was last week when I came into Sumatra to recieve a sumatra package where I get the works done. My husband surpised me with a gift certificate for mothers day. When i walked in everyone was so friendly and nice asking me would I like anything to drink.Once I filled out my paperwork for my services I was taken back, the massage was so relaxing it felt as if i was in the room forever when it was only an hour, the facial was a new experiance I never had one before but was fantastic and my feet and hands have never felt so soft and new in a long time Lunch was really good I had lettue wraps from Pf changs and my hairstylist Ginny did a very great job on my hair especially how fine and damaged it is she made it look so shiney. Now the question is would i do it again absulotely, One thing I would say the decor was relaxing and whoever reads this should go check it out .

Poor service, sent gift certificate with expired date

My children wanted to give me a gift certificate for a Bali Spa for Mother's Day. Since both the kids live out of town, it was important to them I receive the gift certificate on Mother's Day; they even paid an additional fee to have the certificate delivered on that particular Sunday. Imagine their disappointment when it did not arrive on Sunday NOR Monday. The certificate finally arrived Tuesday. The date on the Fed Ex form was changed from 5/10 to 5/12 (as the date given to Fed Ex) - the day after Mother's Day. The gift certificate had only one of the children's names on it as the gift giver. But the most disappointing thing was the expiration was 5/10/08...two days before it was sent.

No Show

The make up artist did not show up for my scheduled appointment. The worst part is that it was my wedding day. I had even done a trial run a month prior. No one else at the salon was qualified to do my makeup.
